Inside the Grand Opening of the New RazerStore in Austin
I just got back from a wild day at The Domain in Austin, Texas, where Razer threw open the doors to its brand-new RazerStore. And let me tell you—this was no ordinary retail launch. We’re talking lines out the door, giveaways, Razer reps, and even a full esports squad in the house. But before the general public got in, I scored an exclusive sneak peek with Andy from Razer, who gave me the lowdown on what makes this place more than just a store.
What Is a RazerStore, Really?
So, why does Razer need a physical store when you can just buy everything online? Andy summed it up with Razer’s motto: Touch. Play. Stay.
The idea is simple—there’s only so much online reviews can tell you. Everyone has different preferences, and Razer wants people to actually feel the gear before they buy it. From gaming mice like the Viper Ultimate to mechanical keyboards with that perfect click, everything is on demo. You can try it all—headsets, laptops, and more—in a hands-on environment.
And this isn’t just about shopping. There’s a console bay, battle stations, and a vibe that’s built for gamers, by gamers. You might even meet someone you’ll be gaming with tomorrow night.
Razer Blade 14: Small But Seriously Mighty
Alongside the new store, Razer dropped another bombshell: the latest version of the Razer Blade 14. This thing is fresh off the assembly line, and the Austin store is—at least for now—the only place you can walk in and actually buy one in person.
What’s inside? How about a Ryzen 9 6900HX CPU and an RTX 3080 Ti packed into a super-thin, compact 14-inch chassis? It’s basically a desktop-killer that you can toss in your backpack. I still can’t believe how much power they crammed into such a sleek build, and I can’t wait to test it out for real.

Final Thoughts
Big thanks to Razer for inviting me to check out the new store—it’s not just a place to shop, it’s a full-on experience. If you’re in the Austin area, definitely swing by and see it for yourself. Try out the gear, meet the team, and maybe even walk out with a new Razer Blade 14.
