TheNerdNet.io was founded by Josh McDarris–writer, filmmaker, and lifelong nerd–In 2025.

As of 2026, NerdNet has expanded into all areas of the nerdisphere and fandom, offering news and reviews of games–video and tabletop–movies, TV, and tech.

NerdNet is based in Ogden, Utah.
