TheNerdNet.io was founded by Josh McDarris – a freelance video editor, filmmaker, and lifelong nerd.
Josh started his creator journey on YouTube, first with a channel dedicated to tech reviews, then expanding to niche channels covering food, filmmaking, gaming, entertainment, and movie props and toys, to name a few.
Josh quickly realized he needed a single place where all his nerdy interested could live, thus NerdNet was born.
As of 2025, NerdNet has expanded into all areas of nerdom and fandom – offering news and reviews of games – video and tabletop – to movies, TV, and tech.
