I’m diving into an exciting figure from NECA’s Real Toys line: the Aliens Ultimate Edition figurine. This is an absolute must-have for fans of the franchise and figure collectors alike. Let’s break down the details and see if it lives up to the hype!

    Unboxing & First Impressions

Right out of the gate, the packaging is impressive. The window display on the front allows you to get a good look at the figure inside, and the box itself features some fantastic artwork of the figure. On the back, you’ll find a short synopsis along with additional artwork showcasing the figure, egg, and face hugger. The bottom of the box credits all the talented people involved in crafting this piece.

Without further ado, let’s crack this open and check out what’s inside!

    What’s in the Box?

Upon opening, you’ll notice that the figure is held together with twist ties, ensuring it stays secure. Here’s what’s included:

    • Ultimate Alien figure
    • Chestburster Alien
    • Face Hugger
    • Egg

The sculpt and paint job on all the accessories are top-notch, with intricate details that make them stand out.

    Figure Articulation & Detailing

Once out of the box, the figure does not disappoint. Let’s take a closer look at its articulation and features:

✔ Double-jointed elbows for improved posing.
✔ Articulated fingers for added realism.
✔ Limited head movement due to side tubes – be careful when adjusting!
✔ Extendable inner jaw (yes, that terrifying second mouth is fully functional!).
✔ Well-balanced tail, allowing it to stand upright effortlessly.
✔ Excellent wrist articulation for dynamic posing.
✔ Stable legs that feel solid and sturdy.

The only minor drawback? The head movement is somewhat restricted, which limits certain poses. Other than that, this figure is an absolute beast in terms of design and articulation.

    Final Thoughts

Overall, this is an incredible figure with great sculpting, an amazing paint job, and solid articulation. While the limited head movement is a slight downside, it doesn’t take away from the overall quality and presentation.
