This series had an obvious stand out star. No, not the obnoxious children, Morrow, or even the xenomorph, but the eyeball alien.

Well, we did it, gang – we painstakingly made it through all eight episodes of Alien: Earth. My opinion of the first four episodes can be copied and pasted into my opinion of the last four episodes, so there is no reason to recap my hatred.

In an effort to recap Alien: Earth in a more positive light, I will share some of my favorite memes from the show. Why? Meme-ing tragedies is the only way to get through them.

Memes were the only thing that got me through the last season of Game of Thrones, which was one of my favorite stories of all time, until HBO ruined it. However, HBO couldn’t bring down the fans’ creativity and top notch memes were out every episode – it was the only reason to keep watching the show.  Let’s laugh at our shared trauma instead of crying about it.

So let’s recap Alien: Earth with the best memes I could find on the interwebs.

This series had an obvious stand out star. No, not the obnoxious children, Morrow, or even the xenomorph, but the eyeball alien.

Didn’t you just love the expressionless eye from the eyeball alien when that kid hybrid died in front of it?

Wendy was really showing how un-human she has become, by defending the actions of a creature that would kill everyone it could. Which, as a cat person, I related to and now I can see the xenomorph for what it truly is: just a silly kitty.

If I had watched all of Alien: Earth with my Idiocracy-colored glasses, then I may have enjoyed it. The dumb parts could have been funny, instead of being, well, just dumb. It would have also explained how Boy Kavalier was supposed to be a genius when all he did was make terrible decisions.

Or maybe this is a better explanation for Boy Kavalier? (It’s not really a better explanation, as autistic and neurospicy people can be fun, and this Boy was just insufferable.)

My thought when starting episode 8 was, “It’s finally over. Please let it be over!” But unfortunately they left it wide open for another season, which I will NOT be partaking in. That’s right. I’m going to be strong and not watch another season just because I like other Alien franchise stories doesn’t mean I have to keep subjecting myself to this.

Honestly, both of the Alien vs. Predator movies were better than Alien: Earth, so I would be down to watch this if it were the sequel.

I wasn’t as positive in this meme review as I intended, and I don’t want to seem heartless, so…
